Automotive Technician / Mechanic / 3rd year apprentices

The Role
As a technician, you will diagnose, service and repair vehicles, achieving target performance through technical skill.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a complete range of vehicle diagnosis and fault‐finding in accordance with Australianli>
* Identify mechanical issues and determine repair methods.
* Perform general servicing and maintenance tasks.
* Make repairs and undertake services to industry benchmarks and company quality & cost‐effectiveness standards.
* Maintain workshop tools and equipment, including hoists and wheel‐balancing equipment.
* Read and interpret fault reports, maintenance and inspection forms.
* Fill out and maintain job cards.
* Assist apprentices to develop skills and provide supervision.
* Complete regular training to develop professional knowledge.
* Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety obligations.
* Road‐test vehicles to identify performance concerns and verify repairs.
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Light or Heavy Engine Mechanics (or equivalent) and completion of an Australian Apprenticeship (or equivalent) with a tradesperson licence.
* Master technician qualifications are highly regarded.
* Prior dealership or manufacturer‐specific experience is highly regarded.
* Valid NSW Class C driver's licence (manual & automatic).
* Permanent work rights in Australia with no restrictions.
