Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced GIS Administrator (Technical) to ensure the effective operation of our ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Platform, including FME Server. In collaboration with the internal GIS Business Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and administering our GIS systems. This specialist position requires a strong understanding of GIS operations, their unique characteristics compared to other IT systems, and how these differences impact system usage and administration. Given the interdependencies between GIS and non-GIS IT systems, coordination with administrators of non-GIS systems is essential. You will work closely with our internal IT service provider, Capgemini, as level 2-3 support, in parallel with our internal GIS team that provides business-level support.

Let's talk about the Roles and Responsibilities:

- Manage the system administration for FME Server and ETL processes to populate our ArcGIS Geodatabase. FME Server is an integral part of our ArcGIS implementation.
- Oversee ArcGIS Enterprise release management and license management, including testing.
- Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, with a focus on system maintenance, configuration, integration, and information assurance.
- Develop webhooks and scripting to automate administration functions.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, reporting, and resource optimization as required.
- Troubleshoot issues by reviewing logs, performing data queries, recreating steps, and interacting with users.
- Act as a Geodatabase administrator to integrate geospatial databases with external data sources and establish workflows, including PostGIS.
- Manage incident and problem management during office hours (level 2-3 resolution).
- Clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both non-technical and technical users.
- Work with the GIS team to ensure data quality and completeness.
- Document work processes, instructions, and procedures.
- Support strategic GIS team missions and goals and contribute to guiding the technical vision.
