Role Summary:
The Community Liaison Officer plays a key role in supporting the RSPCA by managing public reports, facilitating communication with external partners, monitoring field operations for safety, and assisting with the coordination of animals under the organisation’s care. This role ensures effective community engagement, operational efficiency, and the welfare of both animals and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Cruelty Reporting: Receive and triage cruelty reports from the public, conducting follow-up enquiries as required and referring matters to external agencies where appropriate.
* Inspectorate Safety: Monitor the GPS tracking of Inspector vehicles and duress alarms to ensure staff safety. Escalate safety concerns or incidents as necessary.
* Operational Support: Provide logistical and administrative assistance to Inspectors, including obtaining veterinary and related reports, liaising with partner or external agencies, and gathering information relevant to investigations.
* Intelligence Gathering: Assist Inspectors in collecting and managing intelligence related to cruelty investigations.
* Administrative Assistance: Provide administrative support to the Inspectorate and other business units to ensure efficient and coordinated operations.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and contribute to initiatives that enhance the organisation’s operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Animal Care Support: Assist with the collection, transport, and management of animals brought into RSPCA care under the Safe Beds Program.
