This is a critical senior leadership role responsible for the safe, compliant, and profitable delivery of transport services supporting ammonium nitrate and explosives precursor supply to mining sites across the region.As Branch Manager, you will have end‐to‐end accountability for the branch's safety, operational performance, customer outcomes, and financial results. You will lead a complex transport business encompassing fleet operations, subcontractor management, workforce leadership, and compliance aligned to Explosives, Dangerous Goods, and Major Hazard Facility licensing requirements.This role requires a leader who can confidently operate in a high‐risk, highly regulated environment, balance operational complexity with commercial accountability, and lead multidisciplinary teams delivering mission‐critical services to Tier 1 mining customers.**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities –*** Lead and embed a safety‐obsessed, compliant operating culture aligned to Major Hazard Facility (MHF), Explosives, Dangerous Goods, and transport legislation, ensuring audit readiness and emergency response capability at all times.* Maintain full compliance with all regulatory licences, approvals, and statutory obligations relating to ammonium nitrate, explosives precursors, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle Accreditation, Mass & Maintenance Management, and Load Restraint requirements.* Provide visible, hands‐on operational leadership across transport, fleet, allocation, and supervisory teams to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of services supporting mining and resources customers.* Translate customer contracts, service level agreements, and operational plans into effective day‐to‐day execution, balancing safety, service performance, cost control, and asset utilisation.* Hold full commercial and financial accountability for the branch, including P&L ownership, revenue growth, cost management, EBIT performance, forecasting, and variance analysis.* Lead and manage key customer relationships, driving service excellence, KPI governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to contract negotiations and solution design.* Lead, coach, and develop operational leaders, supervisors, and frontline teams, building a high‐performing, accountable, and engaged workforce aligned to company values and continuous improvement.**What you'll need to succeed:*** Proven senior leadership experience managing large, complex transport or logistics operations, including full P&L accountability and delivery of strong commercial outcomes.* Demonstrated capability operating in high‐risk, highly regulated environments, including Major Hazard Facilities and/or Explosives and Dangerous Goods supply chains, with uncompromising safety standards.* Strong technical and regulatory expertise across transport legislation, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, Dangerous Goods compliance, audits, and incident management, with confidence engaging regulators and key customers.* Credible, hands‐on leader with strong communication and influence skills, able to perform under pressure, lead continuous improvement, and build high‐performing teams; supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.If you are committed to creating a positive workplace culture, driving safety-first values, and ensuring that we meet our customer's needs while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
