Senior Lecturer, Kimberley Centre for Remote Medical TrainingLecturer / Senior Lecturer, Medicine – Broome Campus – Part-time (0.5) fixed-term contract until 31/12/2026.About the UniversityThe University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic university with more than 1,000 permanent staff and over 12,000 students across Fremantle, Broome, Sydney and clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.About the RoleThe Kimberley Centre for Remote Medical Training (KCRMT) is a Commonwealth-funded, end-to-end rural medical program on the Broome campus, part of the RHMT program within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Health Sciences.
This part-time position involves teaching in the Doctor of Medicine curriculum (pre-clinical and/or clinical years) and supporting the delivery of Problem-Based Learning, clinical skills tutorials, practical classes, labs and clinical sessions.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach the MD curriculum in pre-clinical and/or clinical years, including in clinical and non-clinical settings.Support the development and delivery of Problem Based Learning, Clinical Skills and other tutorials.Conduct tutorials, practical classes, labs, demonstrations and clinical sessions.Provide academic pastoral care to medical students in collaboration with the Foundation Years Coordinator, Clinical Years Coordinator and the Head of Student Matters.Assist with the development and implementation of student assessments, examinations and markings.Attend KCRMT, School of Medicine and Broome campus meetings.Qualifications and ExperienceQualifications recognised by the institution appropriate for the discipline (doctoral or master's degree preferred).
A medical or professional health degree registrable with AHPRA is highly desirable.Experience teaching in higher education and experience in delivering and developing tutor skills for medical education.Understanding of, and ideally experience with, Problem-Based Learning in a medical curriculum.Demonstrated commitment to teaching medical students in clinical and/or non-clinical settings and pastoral care.Demonstrated leadership and management qualities.Passion for Indigenous health and for rural and remote health promotion.BenefitsFitness Passport on offer.Generous training and development opportunities.Friendly and collaborative working environment.How to ApplyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
