Employment DetailsType: Permanent Full TimeClassification: Counsellor Level 4, Snr Psychologist, Social Worker Level 4, Welfare Officer Level 4Remuneration: $119,206.00 - $124,607.00 pa (+ superannuation + salary packaging options) + NSW Health – Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme (conditions apply – more info at Western NSW LHD Incentives)Location: Dubbo, NSW – Find out moreHours Per Week: 38Applications Close: 28 May 2025, 11:59pmPosition OverviewAboriginal Senior Clinician - New Street - 5-10k Incentives OfferedChild Family & Youth Services DirectorateAbout The RoleNew Street Services provide therapeutic services for children and young people aged 10 to 17 years who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviours. The role involves helping clients understand, acknowledge, take responsibility, and cease such behaviours. Client outcomes are positive, with most cases being isolated incidents, benefiting both individuals and the child protection system.The service operates on a voluntary basis, with referrals from community and health networks. The role is suited for high-level counsellors, social workers, welfare officers, or psychologists, supported by a comprehensive training and supervision program, including a 3-month orientation, ongoing clinical supervision, and consultation from a senior Clinical Advisor.Experience in complex clinical services and trauma-based restorative practices is preferred but not essential. The organization values empathy, positive engagement, and collaborative work with community services to improve client outcomes.The position involves working in a co-therapy model, traveling in pairs for outreach, with flexible hours.
