**(MIRRAT)** is a wholly-owned Australian subsidiary of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Terminals Holding (WWTH). MIRRAT is located in Port Melbourne and is a 3 berth, 187,000 sqm facility with 14,500 car slots. We offer a range of integrated on-wharf solutions including vessel berthing, vehicle storage, quarantine washing, and logistics for a wide range of automotive, rolling equipment, and breakbulk products.
The MIRRAT Team handles a broad range of shipment and cargo types including well-known vehicle, mining, and agricultural equipment brands, as well as a wide range of other cargo types including specialty cars, boats, caravans, helicopters, and everything in between.
**Job Description**: 
**About the Role**
MIRRAT is looking for an Operations Supervisor based in Port Melbourne, Victoria, reporting to the Operations Manager MIRRAT - Terminal Services. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible to lead and manage the operational functions of the MIRRAT facility ensuring that its activities achieve optimal performance, in terms of productivity, safety and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will be required to promote and achieve a culture focused on continuous improvement, safety, and productivity while also being able to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve terminal safety, terminal efficiency, and cargo quality.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Lead from the front, setting an example in all areas by always conducting yourself in a professional manner and adhering to the company code of conduct, policies, and procedures. 
- Ensure that all operational activities and performed safely in accordance with relevant safe working procedures. 
- Ensure all staff meet the training and skills requirements to carry out the defined activities, including training and development. 
- Manage operational execution, based on input from the Planning and Cargo Manager, including allocation of activities related to cargo receiving and delivery, crane lifts, and upkeep (5S) 
- Tracking of performance, through agreed KPI's and systems, identifying improvement areas and implement (agreed) improvement areas. 
- Support the overall objectives of the MIRRAT business and the leadership team, including working closely with other internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal results and performance. 
- Conduct performance reviews for MIRRAT operations staff as per the Go Grow Succeed process. 
- Ensure Team Leaders/yourself are managing staff performance and behaviour, resolving issues, implementing corrective actions and following up on improvements with individuals and management.
Job Requirements: 
**Required Experience and Qualifications** 
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Business Management, or similar is advantageous. 
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working at a supervisory level, preferably in an automotive, heavy machinery, logistics environment or similar. 
- Must have a have a highly technical aptitude and understanding 
- Tertiary qualification and/or proven experience utilising DMAIC and Six Sigma in Logistics principles advantageous
