Position Overview:
The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the installation of mechanical systems and equipment. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Installation:
* Install new machinery or mechanical systems according to technical drawings and specifications.
* Assemble and align mechanical parts and systems.
* Commissioning support
* Mechanical valves, pulleys, bearings, platework, structural, grating, handrail and other equipment.
* Safety & Compliance:
* Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and ensure safe working practices.
* Complete safety checks, permits, and job hazard analysis (JHAs) as required.
* Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service logs and inspection reports.
* Report equipment malfunctions and recommend improvements or replacements.
* Teamwork & Communication:
* Collaborate with other trades, operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth operation.
* Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Key Requirements:
* Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter and Turner.
* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
* Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Commitment to safety and quality standards.

* Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Dogman / rigger
* Forklift and EWP.
* Flexible and proactive approach to work.
* Ability to work away across the wheatbelt as required.
