Role Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Midwife Educator to join our Education Team as an Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education at Werribee Mercy Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and influence quality education and professional development for Nurses and Midwives in the public health sector, shaping our future workforce.

As an Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education, you will play a key role in leading educational strategies related to Women's and Children's Programs, developing and implementing education programs, and collaborating with the education team to support clinical staff education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead educational strategies for maternity, paediatric and neonatal education programs
2. Develop and implement educational programs for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate nurses and midwives
3. Work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education and the education team
4. Provide expert clinical advice on educational strategies
5. Liaise with stakeholders to promote quality education and professional development
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a senior educator who is passionate about affecting change through developing staff skill sets to improve patient outcomes. You will have:
1. Current Nursing/Midwifery registration with AHPRA
2. Post-registration qualification in education required
3. Experience in leadership and management, including the ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team
4. Advanced skills in educational design and implementation
5. Knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery workforce challenges and practices
6. Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
