Located 28 kilometres north of Leonora, the King of the Hill Gold Mine is seeking a seasoned HSEQ Advisor to join our team. This exciting role operates on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth. Reporting directly to the HSEQ Superintendent, this position is perfect for experienced professionals with a background in surface mining.
About the role
- Ensure effective implementation and adherence to the HSEQ Management Plan.
- Provide expert mentoring and guidance on HSEQ Management Systems.
- Engage with clients on WHS activities and monitor site-based lead and lag indicators.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments to support operational safety.
- Oversee site corrective action and hazard reporting processes.
- Perform site inspections and audits according to the annual safety planner and activity planners.
About you
- Previous mining experience in a similar role, accompanied by qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Working knowledge of the Mines Safety Inspection Act (WA) and similar legislation in other states.
- Experience in HSEQ management systems and able to implement HSEQ management plan deliverables.
- Qualification in incident investigation methodology, such as ICAM.
- Solid leadership, interpersonal, communication and engagement skills.
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current Manual "C" Class WA Drivers Licence or equivalent.
