Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MC Float Driver to join our team in the Bunbury and Collie regions, with frequent travel to the Pilbara area. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting oversized and overweight loads, goods, and materials safely and efficiently.
* Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and floats to identify mechanical issues and ensure safety compliance.
* Transport oversized and overweight loads, along with goods and materials.
* Perform loading and unloading tasks.
* Execute preventative maintenance procedures.
* Uphold cleanliness standards for both internal and external areas of the truck.
* Strategize routes and adhere to delivery schedules in accordance with MRD's permits.
* Fill out all required paperwork and other regulatory obligations.
* Maintain accurate activity logs and records in compliance with Department of Transport regulations.
* Adhere to commercial vehicle operation laws set forth by Federal, State, and local authorities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience operating 100-ton and 50-ton floats, prior experience in a comparable position, strong written and verbal communication abilities, familiarity with Workplace Occupational Health & Safety standards, and previous experience in low-level float operations.
