The Organisation
The organisation is an established privately owned group, within the property development sector. The group has been responsible for the development of landmark projects in Melbourne.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the CFO, the role is responsible for the efficient financial management of the organisation.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
* In-house expert on development feasibility analysis – EstateMaster.
* Preparation and review of Financial Statements to ensure adherence with Australian accounting standards
* Management of relationships with the group's external advisors
* Responsibility for ensuring compliance. This includes income tax, capital gains tax, GST, stamp duty, land tax etc
* Oversee completion of and review of monthly/quarterly BAS for payment and lodgement
* Management of cash flow
* Preparation of management reporting and project reporting for various elements of the business
* Drive process improvement and efficiency.
About You
The preferred candidate will demonstrate:
* High level technical skills and knowledge in accounting.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work streams and working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
* A passion for the property industry.
In addition to your technical skills, you will have strong communication skills and a will be a natural relationship manager.
Candidates are required to be CA/CPA qualified.
