Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Painter / with or without experience to join our professional team. Training is provided.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will deliver premium painting and surface preparation services across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Full attention to detail, well spoken in a high or intermediate English level. You will work to high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism, representing Ozwide Property Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting, including stripping old paint or wallpaper, sanding, filling cracks and holes, and repairing minor surface defects, training provided.
* Select, mix, and prepare paints, stains, and coatings to achieve required colours and finishes, training provided.
* Follow all WHS/OH&S requirements, including safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and correct handling of hazardous or lead-painted surfaces.
* Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, we provide the training for this.
* Carry out interior and exterior painting while working as a team.
* Install wallpaper, including pattern matching and trimming, training is provided
Perform minor repairs to timber and metal surfaces prior to painting
* Clean, maintain, and store tools, equipment, and work areas
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience in residential or commercial painting, if no experience we will train you.
* Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent qualification) apprenticeship accepted or if student we will train you.
* Proficiency with surface preparation techniques and painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers
* Experience with exterior works, timber repairs, and decorative finishes
* Strong understanding of WHS/OH&S workplace safety standards, if not training is provided.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
* Valid Australian driver's licence
