Seeking Experienced Employment Lawyer
We are currently seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on a range of employment and industrial relations matters, with a strong sense of purpose, ambition, and a proactive approach to work.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be based in our Canberra office, working closely with Partner Shae McCartney, and will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of workplace relations, including general employment law, industrial relations strategy, and disputes.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Draft clear, concise, correct, and commercial advice and documents
* Advise clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions, compliance, and regulatory matters
* Represent clients in high-profile and high-quality matters across the public and private sectors
* Mentor and coach more junior team members
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience as a Lawyer (3+ years PQE) working on employment and industrial relations matters
* A strong sense of purpose, ambition, and a proactive approach to work
* Strong people skills; ability to communicate and build rapport with clients
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* An appetite to mentor and coach more junior team members
