The Sales Manager – Packaging plays a key role in driving revenue growth through new business development and the expansion of existing accounts across our client's packaging portfolio.
In this position, you will lead customer relationship management, oversee commercial execution, and ensure strong sales performance, acting as the main commercial contact between customers and our client. The role works closely with the Product Manager – Flexible Packaging to successfully commercialise the packaging range and deliver tailored, customer-focused solutions.
Your new role
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
* Identify customer requirements and collaborate with internal technical team to propose appropriate packaging solutions.
* Support sales strategy and business development.
* Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver exceptional service.
* Represent our client at trade shows and industry events.
* Develop and implement growth initiatives focused on acquiring new customers across existing and emerging market segments.
* Strengthen our client market presence and reputation by fostering successful, long-term relationships with customers and industry partners.
* Build and maintain knowledge of key industry participants, market segments, and channels.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments, and provide commercial insights to support business planning.
What you'll need to succeed
* 5+ years' experience in a similar role in the packaging industry
* Demonstrated experience in account management, business development, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
* Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to the specific products and services offered.
* Understanding of packaging solutions and applications on a commercial level.
* Ability to work effectively with and influence a broad customer base and range of internal stakeholders.
