What You'll Be Doing
The CMO provides high quality clinical services to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department. The personal development aim is to develop the skills and knowledge needed to operate independently as a senior clinician in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department. This can be achieved through structured and supervised observation of, exposure to, and management of patients, as well as participation in O&G Department education and quality assurance activities.

How To Apply

* A minimum of 5 years of experience as an O&G trainee with the capability to independently manage common acute and emergency O&G presentations.
* MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Proficiency with operative deliveries, including vacuum, forceps and Caesarean section deliveries.
* Competency with interpretation of electronic fetal heart rate monitoring patterns, at preterm and term gestation, in the antenatal and intrapartum period.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development - FONT training, FSEP, ALSO, PROMPT.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including relevant computer skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to O&G education, experience conducting literature reviews and developing O&G departmental policies.
* Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other staff and visiting practitioners in a multidisciplinary health care team, within the hospital and SWSLHD network.
