With continued growth and a commitment to innovation, we are looking for a dynamic Operations and Logistics Manager to lead the Warehouse and Inventory teams in our Parts Distribution Centre based in Pinkenba. This is an extremely rare opportunity that does not come up often Our Parts Distribution Centre is the central hub for all automotive parts across the Eagers network.
Role Overview
The Operations and Logistics Manager, part of the senior leadership team, will lead and oversee day-to-day production, logistics, quality and workforce management to ensure efficient, cost-effective and safe operations. This role requires strong leadership, solid experience in automotive parts, and a passion for continuous improvement. This role reports directly to the General Manager – Eagers Automotive Parts, and is responsible for direct management of the Inventory Manager and Warehouse Manager, who have 65 team members across both teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage daily operations across production, warehousing, and logistics.
* Ensure targets for output, quality, safety, and delivery performance are consistently met.
* Implement and monitor KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S).
* Maintain and develop internal and external relationships with clients and other business partners
* Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams to align operational goals.
* Oversee workforce planning, training, and development of multi-skilled teams.
* Manage production schedules and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high operational standards.
* Hold a reporting and analysis focus
* Lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving for any operational issues.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Parts Operations Manager or similar leadership role in the automotive industry. Logistics or supply chain will also be highly regarded.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong inventory skills
* Strong focus to Health and Safety
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
* Ability to manage budgets, interpret data, and drive performance.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
* Degree in Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or similar (preferred).
