We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a Brisbane based engineering business specialising in the manufacture and assembly high precision engineered parts and assemblies. On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to:
* Assembly of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic sub-systems, and system components according to technical drawings and specifications.
* Conducting thorough inspections and quality checks of all components and final assemblies.
* Maintaining accurate records of assembly processes, including any issues or adjustments made.
* Working closely with engineers and other team members to resolve issues and improve assembly processes and product quality.
To be successful in this position you should be able to demonstrate most or all of the following selection criteria:
* Previous experience in the assembly of precision engineered products is highly desirable.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
* You have hands-on experience with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
* Your are familiar with mechanical assembly processes such as setting of shafts and bearings, specialised riveting processes, torque tightening, application of sealants and adhesives, etc
* Applications from a mechanical trades or fitter turner background etc would also be highly encouraged, as training can be provided.
