About the Role:
MacLean Engineering is seeking a Field Service Auto Electrician to support the growing fleet of MacLean mining equipment across Australasia. Based out of our New South Wales branch inOrange, this role involves both workshop and site-based service work, including travel to major underground mining operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge underground mining equipment, remote control systems, and automated mining technologies. You'll play a key role in supporting the deployment and ongoing support of advanced MacLean equipment used in some of the most innovative mining operations in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on MacLean underground mining equipment and control systems
* Commission and support new technology installations in branch and on customer sites
* Commission, calibrate, and support machine remote control and tele-remote systems
* Troubleshoot and program PLC, CAN-bus, and HMI systems
* Carry out field service work, breakdown support, and scheduled maintenance on customer sites
* Provide on-site technical support and training to customers on advanced equipment features
* Work closely with the engineering and product support teams to deliver feedback and continuous improvement insights
You will possess:
· Trade-qualified Auto Electrician
· Experience with mining, heavy mobile, or underground equipment is highly regarded
· Strong knowledge of control systems, diagnostics, and schematics
· Familiarity with remote control, tele-remote, or automation systems is a strong advantage
· Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems desirable
· Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in field environments
· Committed to safety, quality, and continuous learning
· Competency in Microsoft Office applications
· A current driver's license
· Accurately complete all required daily activity and safety reporting as directed
· Travel to and from customers remote sites
· Current First Aid & CPR certificate preferred
· National Police clearance within last 6 months
· Current Passport
