They are a multidisciplined self-performing contractor deliver the following services: Roads and bridges; Pavements and ground improvements, Marine services, Resources and renewables, Defence, Facilities and developments, Drainage and utilities.
Job Description
CGC Recruitment are working with a National Tier 2 Contractor who have a Civil Infrastructure arm that offers value-engineered solutions to achieve the right outcomes for our customers. They are a multidisciplined self-performing contractor deliver the following services: Roads and bridges; Pavements and ground improvements, Marine services, Resources and renewables, Defence, Facilities and developments, Drainage and utilities.
They have recently been awarded a medium scale landfill project in Central QLD and as of such have identified the need for a Site Engineer to work on a DIDO basis from Brisbane. Reporting to a Project Manager you will be responsible prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. In addition to this you will perform quality control (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Interact daily with clients and represent them in the field.
The role will give the right applicant an opportunity to make their mark on a flagship project in the local overseeing things from contract award right though to practical completion.
Selection Criteria
- 2+ years Civil Construction experience
- Civil Engineering degree
- Prior experience for a Tier 2 Contractor
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Driven and career motivated
