An exciting opportunity exists for a creative and energetic individual to join Library Services team at the City of Kwinana. As our new Library Programs Officer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high quality, relevant library programs and events that build community capacity and promote lifelong learning in a customer centric environment.
We are seeking an experienced library professional to build strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies, organisations and stakeholders to create a sense of place and focus for community celebration. This position also plays an active role in networking groups with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on community aspirations.

What You'll Need
To make an impact in this role, the successful candidate will have:
* Experience in a similar role.
* Sound experience researching, developing, implementing and reviewing high quality, responsive and customer‑focused community programs and events.
* Developed interpersonal, negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and managing successful partnerships.
* Experience promoting and marketing programs in an innovative way.
* Developed analytical, evaluation and report writing skills.
* Tertiary qualification in library and information studies, community development, events management, recreation or a related field and/or substantial experience in a similar related role.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate and train volunteers and staff in a customer‑centric environment.
* Possession of a Driver's Licence, Police Clearance and willingness to obtain an Apply First Aid Certificate.
* Ability to work after hours as needed.
