Staff Specialist – Psychiatrist (Multiple Vacancies Statewide) The Department of Health (DoH) is seeking experienced and dynamic Staff Specialists – Psychiatrists to join our multidisciplinary Mental Health Services team in North-West Tasmania, with opportunities across other locations statewide. In this role, you will deliver high-quality mental health care in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, agency policies, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies. The role: Provides comprehensive general inpatient and community psychiatric services in the north west region of Tasmania. Acts as a consultant to mental health professionals and health service providers, including general practitioners and other agencies, regarding the assessment and management of individuals with mental health disorders. Undertakes supervisory responsibilities with Registrars/Career Medical Officers, Resident Medical Officers and other medical staff as required/appropriate. Salary: Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- 11, Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata 12% superannuation.
