The Opportunity
Generation Care is seeking an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) operating under an ABN to support our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering therapy programs to older adults.
This contractor role is ideal for someone seeking flexible work, variety across community and aged care environments, and the opportunity to work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver therapy programs as delegated by supervising Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists
* Support clients with mobility, functional tasks, rehabilitation programs and exercise prescription under supervision
* Assist with individual and group therapy sessions in clients' homes and residential aged care facilities
* Observe, monitor and report client progress or concerns back to the treating clinician
* Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and resources
* Complete session documentation and progress notes as required
* Work collaboratively with clinicians, care staff, clients and families
About You
* Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent experience)
* Experience working with older adults in community, aged care or health settings (desirable)
* Strong communication skills and a warm, person-centred approach
* Ability to follow therapy programs and work within scope of practice
* Reliable, organised and confident working independently in the community
Contractor Requirements
* Valid ABN
* Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
