Job Overview
This is a temporary role based in Parramatta, lasting until 30 June 2026. The position sits within the Disciplinary Action Unit, handling disciplinary procedures for Licence Holders.
The main focus of this opportunity lies in complex matters of fact and law, recommending and determining disciplinary action through administrative decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Consider complex briefs of evidence and submissions from licence holders and other affected parties.
* Recommend and determine disciplinary action through administrative decisions.
* Prepare Notices to Show Cause and draft decisions on factual and legal matters.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including investigators, inspectors, mediators, legal officers, lawyers, tradespeople, and consumers.
* Supervise, train, and develop junior staff.
* Contribute to organisation-wide development and process improvement related to referrals, evidence collection, and presentation.
Requirements
* A legal professional with extensive experience in litigation, drafting, or regulatory decision making.
* Demonstrated ability in statutory and factual analysis, drafting complex documents.
* Strong analytical and drafting skills, knowledge of investigative processes and evidence rules.
* Highly advanced written communication skills.
