The role is responsible for assessing eligibility and managing and organising data of loan submissions while maintaining good relationships with broker network originators.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assessment of Loan Submissions.
Manage and organise loan submission data in accordance with company privacy and data security policies
Conduct assessment of loans by analysing loan application data in accordance with Metro Policies;
Suggest improvements to processes and policies related to data analysis and credit assessments where possible
MPS1 Credit Application and Analysis with use of GPS5 Risk Framework as a general guideline.
Assessment is within the analyst's own delegation or recommended up when outside to higher delegation holder.
All applications will be processed via the Metro Broker Portal.
Communication with brokers on scenarios / decisioning
Scenarios include potential deal submissions where the sales representative is not available
Decisions include requests for further information / clarification and declining a deal due to incompatibility with Metro Criteria.
Enquiries from other departments as required.
Includes settlements requests for asset pricing or marking off of approval conditions
Sales requests for deal escalations (urgent assessment) and clarification on post approval matters e.g. inspection reports bank statement conditions
Also includes Settlement Spreadsheet Sign Off when rostered on to do so
How to succeed
This role would suit a team player with a can-do attitude willing to take the initiative.
You'll possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong numeracy skills, the ability to spread financials and the ability to discuss financial statements with preparers / management.
Previous novated-lending experience is an absolute must-have.
We are looking for someone with the following :
Minimum of 5 years recent commercial-lending experience essential in asset-backed lending within either a commercial bank or finance company
Successfully held a Delegated Lending Authority
Preparing credit submissions for approval by higher authority
Ability to build rapport and develop professional relationships with brokers and excellent customer service skills
Knowledge Understanding of fraud detection techniques
Good understanding of Chattel Mortgage and Finance Lease products
Good understanding of current legislative requirements Corporations Act NCCP PPSA AML & CTF and Privacy Act
Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
