About the role
As a Security Engineer your role is vital in ensuring the effective operation of multiple Security Services to meet team requirements. You'll drive operational excellence to guarantee their configuration, reliability, performance, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage in day-to-day operational changes and project initiatives.
* Contribute to our on-call roster, providing after-hours support for Security Services incidents.
* Identify opportunities for enhancing our Security Services.
* Share ideas, knowledge, and expertise to fulfill client and cybersecurity objectives.
* Monitor, respond to, and resolve issues with Security Services technologies.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance the utilization of Security Services.
* Maintain operational management, uphold service levels, implement controls for operational continuity, and keep software up-to-date.
* Provide on-call services as required by team roster.
Skills and Qualifications
* 5 to 10 years of operational or delivery experience in an enterprise environment.
* Highly regarded experience with one or more of the core technologies such as Firewalls (Checkpoint/Forcepoint), Forward Proxies (Netskope/Symantec), Endpoint Protection (CrowdStrike), DNS Hosting (CSC/Akamai), Heritage Protection (Illumio), and FTP Services.
* Hands-on experience or working knowledge of AWS and networking.
* Demonstrated motivation to expand technical knowledge.
* Tertiary qualification in computing or related fields.
* General security certifications (CISSP, SANS, ISACA).
* Product vendor security certifications (Symantec, Checkpoint).
* Prior experience in the insurance industry will be an advantage.
