Overview
We are seeking a Visitor Services Officer to join the Parks and Wildlife Service at the Freycinet Visitor Centre. Reporting to the Business Enterprise Coordinator, you will:
- Assist with daily visitor centre operations and administration.
- Provide information on local parks, reserves and recreational opportunities.
- Undertake sales and financial transactions, including park entry fees.
- Support visitor safety, incident response and reporting.
- Maintain displays, amenities and stock levels.
This is a permanent, part-time role based in Freycinet.
Our ideal candidate has
- Knowledge of Tasmania’s parks and reserves, and recreational activities.
- Experience in office administration, sales, and cash handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with visitors.
- Ability to work in a team and handle varying workloads.
- A driver’s licence and First Aid Certificate (desirable).
