Job Description

* Full-time, Ongoing position at Level 7
* Hawkesbury campus, with flexible working arrangements
* Salary: $104,953 – $113,204 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Drive the University's digital marketing capability by building, implementing, and optimising marketing automation workflows and personalised campaigns, primarily using Adobe Journey Optimiser.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in building the University's marketing automation and personalisation capability at scale.

As the Automation & Personalisation Specialist, you will be responsible for building, implementing and optimising automated marketing workflows, campaigns and journeys across the University's digital ecosystem, with a primary focus on Adobe Journey Optimiser (AJO).

Working closely with the Manager, Automation & Personalisation, you will execute data-driven communication strategies that enhance student recruitment, conversion and engagement across the full lifecycle. You will collaborate across Marketing, Communications and Content teams to deliver highly personalised, timely and relevant experiences across email, SMS, social and digital platforms, all while ensuring alignment with University brand, privacy, accessibility and governance standards.

With a strong focus on streamlining operations and improving efficiency and effectiveness, this role is a critical support function in advancing the University's digital marketing maturity and capability.

What Success Looks Like:

* Support the delivery of the University's automation and personalisation strategy, ensuring alignment with institutional recruitment, engagement and brand objectives.
* Collaborate across the marketing function to deliver highly personalised, data-driven communications that increase relevance, engagement and conversion for prospective and current students, staff and external audiences.
* Build and deploy automated journeys, triggered communications and personalisation rules using Adobe Journey Optimiser and other digital platforms.
* Implement scalable processes for automation, data management and campaign execution that improve efficiency while maintaining compliance with privacy, accessibility and brand standards.
* Maintain and continuously improve automation assets, templates, segmentation logic and audience rules to ensure accuracy, consistency and performance.
* Implement A/B testing, audience splits and dynamic content to optimise engagement and conversion outcomes.
* Integrate automation activity with paid media, website personalisation and content strategies to create cohesive, end-to-end experiences.
* Monitor campaign performance, troubleshoot issues and report on the effectiveness of automation and personalisation initiatives.
* Ensure all automation activity complies with privacy, data governance and accessibility requirements.

About You

* A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Demonstrated experience in building, implementing, and optimising marketing automation workflows, ideally using Adobe Journey Optimiser or similar enterprise-level automation platforms.
* Proficiency with CRM systems, audience segmentation, and dynamic content personalisation.
* Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including customer journey mapping, lead nurturing, and conversion optimisation.
* Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
* Analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and recommend improvements.
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
