Full-time, fixed term Health Economics Research Fellow position available at Camperdown Great opportunity for a Research Fellow passionate about research in Health Economics Base Salary ranging from $ 122,830 - $ 145,858 17% superannuation About the opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a research only position in health economics at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health. The University is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow (Level B) to contribute to the health economics stream of EPOCH Translate Centre of Research Excellence and contribute to the health economics research program of the CRE. This will include, working in economic evaluation, economic modelling, and quality of life research in the context of childhood obesity. The incumbent will be based in the Edward Ford Building located on the Camperdown campus. The NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence EPOCH-Translate brings together world leaders in early childhood obesity prevention research, economic modelling and health policy and practice. We advance research and facilitate real-world implementation of strategies to promote healthy behaviours and prevent obesity from early life. This is a fixed term position for 1 year initially. Although full-time appointments are preferred, we would consider fractional appointments for the right candidate. Your key responsibilities will be to: Make a significant contribution to the research of the Centre and the School of Public Health Participate in multi-disciplinary health economics research, with a focus on analyzing longitudinal data for use in economic evaluations Conduct modelled economic evaluations of childhood obesity prevention About you A PhD (awarded or submitted) in health economics, health services research, or related discipline Strong quantitative skills in biostatistics demonstrated track record of peer reviewed publications in health economics, or a related area demonstrated experience in health economic methodologies such as micro-costing, economic evaluation, economic modelling experience in contributing to a multidisciplinary research team in a health economics/health services research/ biostatistics related topic demonstrated experience with Stata experience with data analysis to evaluate healthcare resource use and costs excellent oral and written communication skills Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Work Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
