About the role
This entry-level role supports HR Shared Services, focusing on administration and reporting for key digital programs. Reporting to a Senior HR Business Partner, the position coordinates key administrative tasks and offers mentoring and development opportunities for those starting their HR careers. This is a part-time position. on a fixed term contract basis, designed to provide flexibility while building valuable experience.
What you will be doing
1. Provide administrative and reporting support to the Senior HRBP, PMO and the P&C team to maintain up-to-date, accurate, and compliant personnel and workforce information on key projects.
2. Keep accurate records of employee and consultant information by filing contracts and updates, and updating HRIS systems to maintain current employment terms electronically.
3. Assist with background checks for AEMO staff and contractors.
4. Build and manage stakeholder relationships, communicate and liaise with the wider P&C Team and broader business on key people actions, and assist the team to meet deadlines.
5. Manage all aspects of employee movements, including approvals, system updates, notifications, and filing.
6. Provide support for essential processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions. Perform additional administrative tasks as required by the program.
What you will bring to the role
7. Currently studying or recently graduated with a Business degree, preferably with a major in HR
8. Eligibility to obtain National Security clearance
9. Up to 2 years' experience in HR administration (desirable, not essential)
10. Experience with HRIS systems (advantageous)
11. Familiarity with HR compliance, reporting, and drafting communications (desirable)
12. Proactive, adaptable team player with a positive, can-do attitude
13. Strong relationship builder who communicates effectively and collaborates across teams
