Job Role: Cost Controller

Key Job Responsibilities:
* Establishing and maintaining cost control systems to monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
* Collaborating with the Project Team to develop a robust performance measurement baseline (PMB) and supporting the change control process.
* Creating project cost breakdown structures (CBS), aligning time phasing of budgets against the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), to accurately track and control actual costs.
* Mapping and integrating cost estimates to the WBS, setting the project budget against the correct work packages, planning packages, and control accounts.
* Ensuring adherence to industry-standard contract processes for managing, controlling, and reporting cost data.
* Leading the production of accruals to reflect the actual cost of work performed in a timely manner in the cost data.
* Providing cost information for change notes and underpinning forecasts to support the change process.
* Updating project forecasts to ensure comprehensive and aligned estimate-to-complete (ETC).
* Working with the project team to set out and implement cost capture requirements, including requisitions, purchase orders, and subcontract data monitoring.
* Validating and interrogating supply chain data to assist in accurate cost forecasting and trending.
* Delivering updates on cost control within complex projects/programmes to management/leadership members.
* Guiding and influencing while delivering to cost control processes on complex projects/programmes along with associated processes & reports.
* Demonstrating leadership while developing technical ability of delivery and cost control teams.

* Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
* Ability to interact with various stakeholders, including management/leadership members.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of industry-standard contract processes and procedures.
* Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
