Responsibilities
The Role
As a Security Consultant within Omni's Protective Services Branch, you will deliver embedded, specialist advisory services that help clients build resilient Security frameworks. Working closely with government and critical infrastructure clients, you will lead the assessment, development and implementation of safety and security governance, management systems, audits, and risk and threat assessments aligned to recognised government and industry standards.
You will act as a trusted advisor and primary client contact, ensuring contractual outcomes are met while proactively identifying risks, opportunities for improvement, and potential scope considerations. The role is hands‐on and varied, combining strategic thinking with practical delivery, and offers the opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives, mentor others through best practice, and support the continuous improvement of Omni's service offerings. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

You are an experienced security professional with a strong understanding of government security frameworks with a background in high‐threat or complex operational environments. You are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, producing high‐quality written advice, and leading audits or risk‐based activities with confidence and credibility. You bring sound judgement, strong personal integrity, and a genuine commitment to delivering value‐driven outcomes while upholding Omni's values.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
* Be an Australian Citizen
* Hold a current Australian Government security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1 or be willing to obtain one
* Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills
In addition, this role requires:
* Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management
* Working knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and/or Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a security professional in a high‐threat environment
* Demonstrated experience conducting audits, risk workshops, and developing management systems
* Ability to maintain a Security Licence in the applicable state or territory
