We're looking for a skilled Azure/Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and reliable. You'll be working in a dynamic environment, driving automation, optimising performance, and ensuring systems are always available for internal teams and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
* Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure or similar) ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance across servers, networks, and cloud services.
* Lead cloud projects from planning through delivery, aligning outcomes with business goals.
* Implement and manage IAM policies, RBAC, MFA, and secure access controls.
* Drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep), and performance monitoring.
* Ensure business resilience through disaster recovery, backups, and high-availability solutions.
* Contribute to cloud cost optimisation and governance initiatives.
* Mentor and upskill junior team members and service desk staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders, translating technical solutions into actionable plans.
What You've Got
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure management (Azure preferred).
* Proven experience managing PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS environments.
* Strong background in Windows/Linux administration, networking, virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
* Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
* Solid understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimisation best practices.
* Experience with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migrations is a plus.
* Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud-native services.
* Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
