A06 Senior Finance Officer
Supports this Queensland Government department which delivers key financial services such as collecting state taxes, managing fines, administering grants, and supporting government service delivery. The role provides specialist financial advice and helps oversee budget and financial management processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support budget development, financial monitoring, and performance analysis.
* Prepare financial performance reports and contribute to departmental budget papers such as the Service Delivery Statement.
* Ensure accurate financial data uploads and maintain integrity of the general ledger.
* Support development and continuous improvement of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Provide expert advice to internal and external clients on financial management, standards, and legislation.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proficiency with SAP Fiori, Analysis for Office, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, and advanced Microsoft Excel; Power BI or other BI tools highly valued.
* Experience providing financial customer service in fast‐paced environments with competing deadlines.
