About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead maintenance activities on fixed plant electrical assets at Loy Yang A power station. In this role, you'll oversee a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that maintenance tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with our contractual and regulatory obligations.
You'll play a key role in minimising downtime, upholding safety and compliance standards, and mentoring your team to achieve operational excellence.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Reporting Line: Manager
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance of fixed plant electrical assets
* Lead electrical troubleshooting, repair, and servicing across HV & LV systems
* Prioritise breakdown maintenance to minimise disruption to operations
* Ensure compliance with electrical standards, regulations, and safety procedures
* Provide hands-on support with installation, fault finding, and repairs
* Drive continuous improvement across maintenance activities and team performance
* Promote a proactive HSE culture and identify opportunities to improve safety and efficiency
* Mentor and support maintenance staff, fostering a positive and high-performing team
About You
You're a qualified and experienced electrical professional with a strong background in industrial maintenance environments. You're confident leading others, planning complex work, and making sound decisions under pressure. You're passionate about safety, compliance, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
* A Grade Electrical Licence (essential)
* Current Driver's Licence (essential)
* Proven experience supervising teams in a heavy industrial or plant-based environment
* Strong planning, coordination, and fault-finding skills
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and process compliance
Desirable (but not essential):
* Confined Space and Working at Heights training
* HV Switching or Hazardous Area experience
