Casual - BathurstLife Without BarriersLocation : BathurstReference # : 504718Closing Date : 13-05-2025About the Role :Provide one-on-one support to young people living with disability in their homes or the community, working short, split shifts required.Weekly Schedule :Monday to Friday : 7am to 9am and 3pm to 6pmFortnightly Saturday : 10am to 2pmKey Responsibilities :Ability to work independently supporting clients with daily personal careDomestic assistance including meal preparationAssist clients with travel to appointments and offer support during community outingsAbility to follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfullyBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your teamAdvocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and compliantSkills & Experience :Experience in managing behaviours of concern and working with individuals with complex trauma is essentialCommitted to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidaysDemonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktopA current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.Benefits :Non-profit salary packaging benefits with Maxxia and other employee discountsPay rates starting from $41.76 (casual) as per the SCHADS AwardShort commute working close to home in a welcoming & inclusive environmentAn opportunity to work for one of Australia's largest social purpose organisations in a growing industryAbout the Organisation :Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia.
