Senior Commercial Accountant | $140K + Super | Permanent | Broadbeach, Gold Coast
We are partnering with a well-established, privately owned development and construction group with a strong footprint across the Gold Coast. The business has delivered a number of high-quality, design‐led residential projects and has a strong pipeline of work ahead, positioning them well for continued growth.
This is a hands‐on, commercially focused role reporting directly to the CFO, offering excellent exposure across both development and construction. You'll be working in a small, collaborative team where finance is closely aligned to operations, giving you the opportunity to add real value and broaden your skillset.
You will take ownership of financial and management accounting across the development side of the business, with some cross‐over into construction through collaboration with the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
* Month‐end close, including preparation of P&L and balance sheet reporting
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
* BAS preparation and compliance
* Payroll support
* Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
* Ad‐hoc analysis and process improvement initiatives
* Partnering with stakeholders across the business
About You
* CA/CPA qualified, part‐qualified or working towards
* Strong experience across financial and management accounting
* Comfortable in a hands‐on, fast‐paced environment
* Exposure to construction, property or job costing systems (beneficial, not essential)
* Intermediate Excel skills
* Proactive, team‐oriented and willing to roll up your sleeves
This is a site‐based role, working closely with an experienced Senior Finance Leader and a down‐to‐earth, high‐performing team.
The client is open to considering interstate candidates looking to relocate to the Gold Coast. Full, unrestricted working rights are essential (PR or Australian Citizen).
