We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to provide financial and administrative support for six Anytime Fitness clubs located in the Newcastle region. This remote position is crucial to the smooth operation of our gym network’s back-end functions, focusing on day-to-day financial transactions, account processing, and accurate record-keeping.

Initial Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate records of income and expenses across all six locations
- Prepare weekly financial and performance reports for each club
- Reconcile the group bank account and the club manager’s card
- Reconcile EFTPOS and cash takings using Clubwise gym management software
- Enter invoices into Debit Success, our direct billing solution
- Process and verify bills from Hubdoc into Xero, ensuring receipts are matched and accounted for
- Manage accounts payable: reconcile supplier invoices and schedule payments
- Support month‑end processes including bank reconciliations
- Review budget vs actual accounts and provide strategic insights to management
- Prepare Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, journal entries, and intercompany transactions
- Assist with payroll preparation using RosterElf
- Update Cashflow weekly using ‘Cashflow Master’ software
- Complete BAS’s quarterly for reviewing and lodging by Doyle’s accounting
- Provide backup support to Internal Bookkeeper
- Reconcile accounts for commercial properties

Software Experience

- Proven experience in bookkeeping or transactional finance
- Proficiency in accounting software Xero
- RosterElf, online rostering tool integrated to Xero payroll
