The Opportunity
My client is expanding and looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join on a permanent, full-time basis. You'll play a key role in winning and setting up the projects that power the business forward. What you'll do
Estimating & Costing
* Review drawings, specs and scope to build accurate, competitive estimates
* Prepare detailed costings for labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors
* Implement and refine tendering procedures in partnership with senior management
Tendering & Proposals
* Develop compelling bid submissions aligned to scope, timelines and budgets
* Source and assess supplier/subcontractor quotes for value, quality and compliance
* Meet client deadlines and juggle multiple tenders in a dynamic environment
Clients & Stakeholders
* Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
* Work closely with delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from bid to build
* Spot new opportunities and help grow the pipeline
What you'll bring (Essential)
* 2+ years' electrical estimating experience within contracting
* Proven experience estimating projects up to and beyond $1M
* Strong electrical trade knowledge and understanding of install processes
* Working knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards & Building Codes
* Confident consulting with clients and navigating tender processes
* Excellent time management, calm under pressure and highly organised
* Able to run multiple tenders concurrently in a fast paced setting
* Sharp analytical skills to interpret drawings specifications
* Proficiency in Excel and Groundplan
Nice to have (Desirable)
* Exposure to industrial and/or government sector projects
* Familiarity with other estimating or project management tools
Qualifications
* Ideally, an electrical trade background with solid on site installation understanding.
