About the Role
We seek a Community Engagement Officer to join our clinical services team in Armidale. This part-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in community services and development.

Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Build relationships with individuals and local groups to understand their needs, strengths, and goals.
2. Design and deliver inclusive community initiatives that foster connection, participation, and wellbeing.
3. Develop partnerships with parishes, service providers, schools, First Nations communities, and other local stakeholders.
4. Support marginalized or overlooked voices.
5. E nsure all engagement activities reflect Catholic Social Teaching principles.
6. Celebrate community successes, share stories, and contribute to shaping future direction through local insight.
Requirements
* Qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or a related field.
* Experience in community engagement, youth development, group facilitation, or program coordination, particularly in health, mental health, or not-for-profit settings.
* Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with diverse people.
* Passion for social justice, inclusion, and faith-based mission.
* Understanding of unique challenges faced by young people aged 12-25, including those from diverse or marginalized backgrounds.
* Cultural sensitivity and awareness of trauma-informed practice.
* Motivation, initiative, and a team mindset.
