We're looking for a commercially minded pricing professional to join our team in either Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane and help drive strategic pricing initiatives across the firm.
Please note, this role is a part‑time parental leave cover and would be 3‑days a week until September 2026.
This role is ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, a deep understanding of law firm economics, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to shape pricing strategies, support client negotiations, and contribute to innovative pricing models that enhance profitability and client value.
What you'll do
- Advise Partners and Senior Associates on pricing decisions, providing strategic insights and data‑driven recommendations.
- Support client pricing negotiations with analysis, strategy, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Build and present financial models tailored to pricing scenarios across seniority levels.
- Collaborate with global pricing, finance, BD, and LPM teams to implement pricing strategies and tools.
- Provide tactical pricing advice for major matters, including initial and renegotiated pricing.
- Review and advise on pricing elements in commercial agreements, pitches, and RFPs.
- Deliver analytics to forecast delivery costs and assess pricing performance.
- Develop innovative pricing models to help win profitable work.
- Contribute to pricing metrics, reporting tools, and strategic pricing initiatives.
- Lead and support regular pricing processes, including rate reviews and approvals.
What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (undergraduate or postgraduate).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial or business development role within professional services, ideally with law firm pricing exposure.
- Strong understanding of law firm economics, fee models, and alternative fee arrangements.
- Highly numerate with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
