Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking skilled and compassionate ICU nurses to join our dynamic team. Successful candidates will have a strong background in critical care nursing, exceptional clinical skills and be excited to work in an often quick-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely, complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient’s progress.
- Accurately and comprehensively handover nursing care of critically ill patients to nursing colleagues on the following shift.
- Communicate effectively with the Nursing Unit Manager and ICU In Charge Nurse.
- Participate in the Medical rounds to ensure communication of patient needs/changes and changes to treatment.
What you bring:
- Registered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience in Intensive Care.
- Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
