Your new role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the fit-out industry and possess an extensive network of contacts and relationships within the commercial property sector, including leasing managers, asset managers, and commercial property managers. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, drive growth, and build lasting partnerships across various industries.

* Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial property sector, focusing on fit-out projects. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market presence.
* Client Relationship Management: Leverage existing contacts and relationships to establish and maintain strong client relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients. Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
* Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients. Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure proposals align with client requirements and company capabilities.
* Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote Veer Build and build new relationships. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including design, project management, and operations, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Provide feedback and insights to improve processes and services.

What you'll need to succeed

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the fit-out industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* Network: Extensive network of contacts and relationships within the commercial property sector, including leasing managers, asset managers, and commercial property managers.
* Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the fit-out industry and commercial property sector. The ability to generalise across various industries and adapt to different client needs.
