We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team and lead the implementation and development of facilities management across the business.
The Role
The Facilities Manager, is responsible for the management, maintenance, and operational readiness of all MotorOne Autobody facilities. This includes developing and executing preventive maintenance programs, over seeing contractor performance, ensuring WHS and compliance infrastructure is maintained, and supporting the delivery of capital works and site improvement projects.
The role supports the General Manager - Operations & Capability Development and plays a key part in ensuring that every site is safe, compliant and equipped to operate efficiently and effectively.
To be suitable for the role, you must be happy to travel to our locations across VIC, QLD and NSW as required. When you are not travelling to Autobody locations, you will be based at Autobody Head Office in Mulgrave, VIC.
Key Responsibilities
Preventative & Reactive Maintenance
Design and manage the preventative maintenance schedule across all repair centres.
Oversee regular servicing of key workshop infrastructure: spray booths, hoists, compressors, air extraction, and electrical systems.
Respond to urgent maintenance issues to minimise and maintain records of all assets, servicing and repairs.
2. WHS & Compliance Infrastructure
Ensure facilities meet national WHS and environmental safety standards.
Manage compliance infrastructure: fire systems, evacuation signage, spill kits, eye wash stations, hazardous chemical storage.
Coordinate routine inspections, audits and remediation activities.
Engage manage, and monitor performance o contractors and service providers.
Ensure all contractors meet safety, insurance and induction requirements.
Standardise supplier agreements and ensure cost- effective, reliable servicing.
4. Budgeting & Reporting
Develop the annual facilities OPEX AND CAPEX budget in collaboration with Finance.
Track expenditure and projects costs, and provide regular updates to the GM operations.
Identify cost savings through preventive maintenance and smart procurement.
Lead facility upgrade works and fit-out projects supporting new openings, relocations and closures.
Liaise with landlords and agents for tenancy- related facility issues.
Ensure all work meet business operational, safety and environmental standards.
6. Systems & Documentation
Maintain site plans, logs compliance certificates and registers.
Contribute to executive dashboards and compliance reporting.

Facilities budget tracking and cost variance reporting.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in multi-site facilities management .
Knowledge of WHS infrastructure and compliance in industrial environments
Hands on approach with ability to manage competing priorities
Willingness to travel regularly interstate
Experience in collision repair, automotive, or light industrial sectors.
Familiarity with DoneSafe or other facilities software.
Trade or facilities- related technical qualification.
Basic understanding of environmental and landlord lease compliance.
