About the role
The Product Engineering Lead will be responsible for lifecycle engineering activities within the product line, including requirements, solutions analysis, architecture, design, build, test, enhancements, and obsolescence/defects management. You will also support the Product Manager and Deputy Product Manager through estimation and programming of technical work within the Product Line.
Duties
* Lead a technical team to design and integrate the DCR with nominated external systems following the Agency's engineering management system and industry best practices.
* Communicate complex technical and operational issues into understandable concepts.
* Conduct Engineering Reviews of developed artefacts according to the project Engineering Management System and assigned Engineering Authority delegation.
* Contribute technical inputs to planning and execution of product demonstration events.
* Work with the Cyber Security Manager to respond to security breaches, investigate their causes, and implement remediation actions.
* Contribute to the Agency's Engineering Management System and other lifecycle management activities.
Skills & experience
* Extensive experience in ICT technical management, demonstrating personal leadership and delivery skills.
* Expertise in ICT infrastructure, integration design, infrastructure-as-code, and development methodologies.
* Leadership experience in DevOps / DevSecOps implementation.
* Experience creating and deploying code and configurations via a DevOps pipeline.
* Providing technical expertise and mentorship in a DevOps environment.
* Test and evaluation experience.
* Significant experience in IT and cyber security technical delivery or service operations.
* Knowledge of the Australian Government ISM, Defence Security Framework, and NIST standards.
