**Your new role**:
Within the Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) program, the Technical Drafter is responsible for ensuring that the assigned project tasks are achieved in accordance with contractual and company requirements in order to achieve the required business performance. You will:
- Provide professional design and detailed drafting services that are accurate, safe, on time and on budget.
- Provide electronics and mechanical drafting services and technical support for the development or modification of designs
- Complete drafting activities that reflect approved design changes in appropriate drawings and documents
- Participate in discussion groups with applicable Engineering Teams and Authorities to ensure the integrity of drafting output
- Review the integrity of drawings within the CAD team for compliance to applicable standards
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with appropriate engineering, drafting and quality management system standards, and organisational policies, procedures and standards
About you
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Knowledge and familiarity with Mechanical CAD tools, specifically in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD or similar tools
- Knowledge and familiarity with Electrical CAD tools is desirable, specifically in Altium
- Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers and production personnel within the project
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
