The Federal Government appointed Country SA PHN to enhance the delivery of focused and appropriate health services to the rural communities of South Australia.
The goal of the organisation is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for people particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, improve the coordination of health services, and increase access and quality support for people.
Due to continued growth within the team, a position is available within the Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs strategic program.
The role will support the delivery of the Mental Health and Alcohol and other Drugs (MHAOD) program planning, projects and sector reform initiatives in accordance with National and or State priorities and guidelines.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of daily operations within the portfolio relating to operations and the workflow of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Work Program and its eight key program areas:
1. Adult and Youth Complex and Severe Mental Illness
2. Alcohol and Other Drugs
3. Headspace
4. Medicare Mental Health
5. National Psychosocial Supports
6. Psychological Therapies
7. Suicide Prevention
The Project Manager will play a fundamental role in the planning and implementation of new and existing initiatives and programs, with oversight for defining the scope, objectives, deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. The Project Manager will also be responsible for the development of detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, resource allocation and risk management and mitigation strategies.
It is expected that this position will remain flexible to meet the changing needs of the organisation and the community.

About You

Essential Criteria
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and or experience in a relevant Mental Health and or Alcohol and Other Drugs related field.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Experience in project and or program management within a health or related field, with a proven record of success.
* 2-5 years 'experience in project management with a sound understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage budget and project resources and support financial reporting.
* The ability to innovate and generate new ideas that improve commissioning and investment of the PHN.
* Well-developed systems and critical thinking with demonstrated problem-solving analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in use of the Microsoft suite of software and databases.

* Demonstrated experience in working with regional, rural and / or remote communities
