About the role
You will be working with a team of developers and product managers to deliver innovative software in the healthcare space. You may also be required to help the support team with escalations from time to time.
While initially you will be guided and supported by other team members, this role will favour those who thrive from autonomous work with minimal supervision. Taking full ownership of every task you’re assigned as well as the products you're working on will be very highly regarded.
The single most important attribute for this role and what will set the successful candidate apart is a deep passion for the craft of software development. We are after someone who enjoys what they do to the extent that it is visibly reflected in their work and imparted on those around them.
Finally, we are looking for a motivated individual who can think laterally about a challenge, then analyse and discuss the solution design and implementation approach before diving into the code.
Responsibilities
The role’s responsibilities cover the entire SDLC and beyond including:
- Design and develop new software applications
- Maintain, enhance, extend and support existing applications
- Proactively keep your skills and knowledge of current technological trends up-to-date
- Contribute to company development standards and processes
Skills & Experience
You must be highly proficient with at least 3 years recent professional experience in all of the following:
- C#
- ASP.NET Core MVC and Web API (REST API)
- Entity Framework
- Microsoft SQL Server (TSQL)
In addition, experience in any (or all) of the following will be highly regarded and help push you to the top of our list:
- AI Powered Development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
- CSS, Angular, React
- Microsoft MAUI
- Understanding UI and UX design patterns
- Knowledge of the Health industry and/or eHealth (HL7, FHIR, AMT)
- Test Driven Development / automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
