About Us
Our client is an established, global manufacturing machinery provider is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join its Australian service team. This role is critical in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and ongoing support of advanced industrial machinery for customers across Queensland/ NSW.
You will work autonomously in the field while collaborating closely with service, sales, and technical teams to deliver high‑quality customer outcomes.
About The Role
Customer & Site Support
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate service calls with customers and internal stakeholders
* Maintain strong working relationships with clients through effective communication and professionalism
Installation, Troubleshooting & Repairs
* Install new machinery and ensure smooth integration into customer production environments
* Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
* Interpret and work from technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals
After‑Sales & Preventive Maintenance
* Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance to optimise machine performance
* Minimise downtime through efficient fault‑finding and repair
* Complete and submit detailed service reports in a timely manner
Technical & Demonstration Support
* Assist with machinery demonstrations at technical or customer facilities
* Provide technical expertise during demonstrations and customer engagements
Reporting & Internal Communication
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on service activities
* Communicate effectively with internal service and sales teams to support business processe
Skills And Experience
Technical Background
* Trade qualification or engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics)
* Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
* Experience servicing industrial machinery or complex equipment
Experience & Attributes
* Field service experience within manufacturing, automation, CNC, or related industries preferred
* Sheet metal fabrication experience highly regarded
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise workloads
* Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
Other Requirements
* Valid driver's licence
* Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible hours when required
* Valid passport (training or interstate travel may be required)
* Physically capable of manual handling tasks
