This role as aPhysiotherapist will see you:
* Developmeaningful relationships with residents ensuring theirneeds, interests, routines and preferences arerespected.
* Assess thephysical and mobility functioning ofresidents.
* Plan andimplement appropriate treatment and activity programstaking into account resident preferences, medicalrequirements, input from other health professionals andservice policy and procedures.
* Identify,document and report on resident wellbeing and any change instatus ensuring the electronic healthcare management systemis updated.
* Monitorequipment and ensure that necessary repairs and maintenanceare carried out.
* Assist inthe implementation of therapy programs including group andindividual activities.
* SuperviseTherapy Assistants and volunteers who are assisting withthe program.
* Assist inthe education and training of all staff in safe manualhandling techniques.
* Communicatewith Allied Health and Clinical teams on the outcome ofprograms for the residents.
Aboutyou:
* Possess aBachelor's or Masters in Physiotherapy.
* Currentregistration with the Australian Association ofPhysiotherapists.
* Awareness ofthe Australian Association of Physiotherapists legal ethicsregarding the scope of responsibility.
* Previousexperience working in Residential AgedCare.
* Ability towork autonomously and with a multidisciplinaryteam.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonalskills.
* Ability torelate to the elderly with empathy and understand theirneeds.
* Demonstrateflexible decision making and advanced problem-solvingskills.
* Excellenttime management and organisational skills to effectivelyplan and prioritise work tasks.
* Enjoybuilding positive relationships with residents, theirfamilies and staff.
